Omni Hotel in Puerto Aventuras invites local Property Owners to Join the New Exclusive Beach Club

$ 2,000 usd Per Year to Join 

In a letter written to the property owners in Puerto Aventuras, the largest Marina Club on the Riviera Maya just north of Playa del Carmen, Román Rivera Torres, Managing Director of the Omni Hotel has invited all to join the Beach Club.   The letter reads as follows; 

 Dear Proprietor ...

It is with great pleasure that we share with you the improvements and renovations that we have carried out in the Beach Club of the development. As you know, the operating company has the franchising license of the prestigious Omni Hotels and the standards of service and quality that offerswith the image, service, and presence that is so important for the development of Puerto Aventuras.

In order to assure the exclusivity for guests of the Beach Club, proprietors, and residents, and to be able to pay for the expenses that all this operation entails, it will be necessary to acquire a membership in order to use the Beach Club.

The Trust as proprietor of the facilities will issue to each and every oneof the proprietors, one membership with an approximate value of $20.000 USD. These memberships will be free to all proprietors and will be personal,per family, including under aged children, and will also include special seasonal memberships for department renters or boat owners using the marina.The membership is not transferable and in any case the hotel reserves the acceptance right.

Once the membership is issued, an annual fee of $2,000 USD must be paid.This fee will be reimbursed through the consumption of Food & Beverage that you, your family, or your invited guests will enjoy during the annualmembership. That means, on all consumptions that you and your family make at the Omni Puerto Aventuras Beach Resort, a 20% discount will be made,and then the discounted balance will be “withdrawn” from your annual $2,000 USD membership fee. In case the full $2.000 USD is not used up in itsentirety, the balance will not be reimbursable.

This membership will allow you:

• · To enjoy the installations, the pool, lounge chairs, and towel service.
• · A credit of $2,000 USD in consumption of Food & Beverages or in rooms.
• · 20% discount on food & beverage.
• · 50% discount on room Rack rates, subject to availability.
• · Wireless Internet access.
• · Also as an added benefit, the Omni Cancun offers a 20% discount onfood & beverage and 50% discount on room Rack rates, subject to availability (Omni Cancun will not apply your credit of $2,000 USD)

During the period starting today until June 30, 2006, you will not need a membership in order to enjoy the installations without cost or minimumconsumption. During this time, our Hospitality Manager, Ms. Sol Morales can also assist you with any more information you may need and help you with theprocess of applying for a membership.

As of July 1, 2006, anyone who does not have a membership, will have to pay minimum consumption charge per person as per established by the managing company of the club.We want to express the importance of our continuous improvements inservice, facilities and the overall standards of the Beach Club and the development of Puerto Aventuras, for which this is a necessary step.We thank you for your understanding and support of the improvements and increase in the value of everyone’s property.

Previously, property owners in Puerto Aventuras had use of the club  in what was thought as property rights, however, via this letter, this status has clear changed.  Better? Worse?
